It is time to let go, your fall season has arrived

You are resisting your fall season and delaying manifestation of new beginnings. You are too focused on the dead and fallen leaves that you cannot see the beautiful life that lies ahead. You are too attached to the word “permanence” and delaying the shedding of old and dead leaves. Your new leaves are waiting and ready to manifest but cannot, until the old leaves are shed and on the ground. May you find strength and courage to shed things that are no longer serving you. May you also find strength to shed old energies that are no longer aligned with you.

Last Sunday I posted an article about the power of pruning. The feedback I received made me realise that the message resonated with a lot of people. This morning when I meditated about what to share for this Sunday devotion, I was reminded of a message that I received a while ago when I was taking my meditation walk. You will see that I talk a lot about my meditation walks. They are my sanctuaries that allow me to connect to wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I realised that this message was meant to encourage you and to tell you that now that you have taken a step to prune, it is time to let go of what was pruned.

Lessons from Mother Nature

Mother Nature is ever ready to pour out her lessons to anyone who is ready to listen. I  capture the lessons in my journal and use them when a need arise. As I walked, during this beautiful but cold day in the streets of our suburb, I noticed that I was blessed with a new and different view. I was seeing beautiful houses that were always hidden behind huge trees. The reason I was now able to see the houses that were hidden was because the big trees have now shed their old leaves and ready for summer season. I noticed the dead and old leave lying on the ground. The leaves that were hiding the houses behind the trees were now dead and on the ground.

Focus on what is positive

At that moment, Mother Nature taught me that many of us are unable to access the new beautiful views that are already waiting for us. Why? Because we are focused on the dead leaves that have fallen on the ground. I realised that it was possible for me to have missed  the new views if I focused on the dead and old leaves on the ground. We are mourning old things in our lives and refusing to see what life has in store for us. Yes it’s ok to mourn but let your mourning not be permanent. I pray that you come out of your mourning season and see what life has in store for you. Seasons are part of life and creation. We cannot avoid seasons. We must learn to surrender to a process. Some seasons are there to restore us. Some are there to prepare and strengthen us for new birth.

Let go

Mother Nature further taught me that many of us are refusing to let go of the old leaves in our lives. We can feel that fall season has come, but we are resisting and are attached to permanence. Old things can be toxic and unhealthy relationships with friends, family, partner, spouse, colleagues, work, career, material things, plans, thoughts, habits, or anything that you feel must be let go off.

Take a bold step

I hope this message serves to confirm that you either have things that you need to let go of or you are resisting the process of letting go. Some of you only needed this article to trigger a process of pruning and letting go. I discuss in details the power of seasons in Principles & Tools of Creation. I encourage you to get yourself a copy of the book.
