I am work in progress

I am work in progress

Two years ago, during one of my meditation walks, I was reminded that I am work in progress. At the time, I was too hard on my myself. I fell short of seeing how much progress I have made in life since I left my full time employment to pursue my ventures. I was encouraged to pause and assess how far I have come, and could not believe how much I have achieved. I wrote down a note to remind myself that “I am work in progress”. Today when I look back at my notes, I realise that I was making positive affirmations in my favour. The note also served as words of gratitude. It has been such an honour to observe my affirmations coming to life from that day. It is also true that gratitude brings forth more.

I remembered my notes

The notes were stuck in my mind. Declaring and reminding myself of these words “I am work in progress” has been such a blessing and a powerful tool of creation in my life. It is power that each and every co-creator must embrace. I could not have asked for a better phrase to be part of my daily life. It is a gentle and powerful reminder of who I am, of where I come from, of where I am going and what I can achieve in life. It is a reminder that we are all subject to a process of creation which we must surrender to.

We are not perfect

With these words in my mind and on my lips, I am kinder to my process of growth and development. I am kinder to the process of growth and development of the things that I am creating. I am more patient. I am not hard on myself as I was before. I give myself breaks and I am now more present than I was before. I appreciate every little phase that I go through and see it as growth.

Understanding and embracing that I am work in progress humbles me and enables me to be open to growth and learning. I allow myself to do what is humanly possible and leave the rest to unfold naturally. I am not scared of making and learning from my mistakes. My weaknesses are just a shadow of the strengths that are waiting for me to touch and experience. I am happier and calmer than I was before. As I surrender to the process, I get comfort and peace.

I now appreciate that I am not perfect and know that I am working towards experiencing my full potential. There is less desire for perfection when I remember that I am work in progress. Perfection takes away my inherent character of growth and development. Growth and development makes us who we are. It is fun to grow. It is such a joy to grow. It gives me reason for existing. I look at myself today as I am writing this blog and look back at where I come from and I see nothing but good work in progress. I am definitely not stagnant. I am moving. Every step I take ushers me to a new phase of wisdom, knowledge and understanding that is now a major part of my calling.

Prepare a note of affirmations and gratitude to yourself.

I have added below a heartwarming notes of affirmation to Self. I encourage you to write your Self similar notes (infused with your own affirmations)  and experience the healing power of affirmations. Let us acknowledge that we are all work in progress.

I encourage you to take a pause, find time to be quiet and speak these beautiful & therapeutic affirmations to your Self more often.

I am  work in progress.

Everyday ushers me closer to manifestation of my best version.

I am better than yesterday.

I am kinder to myself than I was yesterday.

I am more gentle with myself than I was yesterday.

I am not hard on myself than I was yesterday.

I am more forgiving to myself than I was yesterday.

I am patient with myself than I was yesterday.

I neither condemn nor do I judge myself like I did yesterday.

I can do exceedingly abundantly above what I did yesterday.

I am smarter and intelligent than I was yesterday.

I have more wisdom, knowledge and understanding than I did yesterday.

I am more worthy than I was yesterday.

I am more glorious than I was yesterday.

I am more self loving and self caring than I was yesterday.

I am more happier than I was yesterday because I have discovered happiness that comes from within.

I am more Self aware than I was yesterday.

I am more loyal to my rules, my standards and my lane than I was yesterday.

I am more protective of my energy than I was yesterday.

I don’t desire to be perfect because perfection takes away my power to enjoy growth and development.

I am more patient and know how to surrender to a process than I did yesterday.

I look back at where I come from and see nothing but beautiful work work in progress and I am getting better and better each day.
