The Woman Who Does It All: Why You Deserve a Solo Wellness Retreat – Week 2

Issue #2 Wellbeing For Women: A journal with Terry

Hey, my beautiful queens! 👑✨

Welcome back to Wellbeing for Women with Terry! 🎉 We’re diving into Issue #2 of our Solo Wellness Retreat, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of your Sunday ritual! ☕💛 So, grab your coffee or tea, put on some soft music, sink into your favourite cozy spot, and let’s get into it. Relax, unwind, and let this be a moment just for you.

Let’s talk about honouring these amazing bodies of ours – our temples, our powerhouses, our ride-or-die vessels that carry us through everything. They deserve all the love, and I can’t wait to share more goodness with you.

Let’s Talk! Did You Shine Bright with the First Ritual?

But first, spill the tea! ☕ How was your first week? Did you rise and shine like the queen you are and bless yourself with your morning ritual? If yes YAY! 🥳🙌 You are amazing.

If not, no stress. New week, fresh start. Your wellbeing is not on pause. It is waiting for you right now. Every small step you take is a love letter to your future self. 💌✨

For my queens who showed up for themselves, did you write it all down? Journaling is key. You have been planting some powerful seeds of happiness, self-love, self- discipline, self-confidence and self-determination, self-motivation – the whole glow-up package.

Oh, and tell me! Did you catch your body naturally breathing deeper throughout the day? Or maybe you found yourself stretching more? If not, start noticing. Little shifts like these are proof that you are creating magic.

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts! Drop a comment to my inbox, share your wins (big or small), and let’s keep planting these seeds of wellness together. 🌱💖

So, you might have noticed – I did not give you a super-detailed, step-by-step breakdown of how to stretch your body. And that was totally on purpose 😉. I wanted you to explore, feel, and connect with your body organically. I wanted you to move with intention and really listen to what your body needs.

When we finally meet for a wellness retreat, we will share our experiences and discover what felt amazing, what felt a little weird, and how each stretch unlocked something new. And for the ladies who are far away, don’t worry, we will make it happen with an online retreat. But if you are local, I expect to see you in person.

Before We Dive Into the Next Ritual – A Little More Stretch Wisdom

Now, about that 10-minute stretch ritual. Let us be real, 10 minutes barely scratches the surface. But the good news is that your body will naturally remind you to sneak in little stretches throughout the day. And guess what? That totally counts.

If you are short on time, no stress. You can mix it up and focus on different areas each day:

🧘🏽Sitting, lying on the ground and melting in the moment.
🪑 Sitting down, stretched out in a chair.
🧍‍♀️ Standing tall and feeling powerful.
🚪 Using a wall or a chair for support.
🪑 Leaning against a chair and exploring different postures.

So many possibilities. And trust me, I cannot wait to share my discoveries with you. You are going love. But even more than that, I can’t wait to see your moves. There are endless ways to stretch, and I just know you are going to discover some absolute gems.

From Stretch to Stillness: It is Time to Meditate & Affirm

In the last issue, I shared affirmations to weave into your morning stretch to boost, motivate and empower you as you move.

Today, I want to introduce you to two of the most powerful affirmation sets you can use every morning before stepping into your day:

  • Self-love & self-praise affirmations – because you deserve to celebrate yourself every single day.
  • Relaxation affirmations – because, yes, even in the midst of everything, you deserve to breathe and be at ease.

The day I started speaking relaxation affirmations out loud, something shifted. I became aware of people, situations, and habits that were blocking my ability to relax.
